Circus comes to Waterloo June 2

The 48th annual Ainad Shriners Circus returns to the Monroe County Fairgrounds on Monday, June 2, starting at 7:30 p.m.

This year’s event will feature David “The Bullet” Smith Jr., who is a Guinness World Record holder for the greatest height reached by being launched from a cannon (85 feet, four inches). Smith accomplished this feat in California on July 8, 2013.

The circus will also feature tigers, elephants, ponies, dogs, clowns and contemporary acts to the three-ring stage, as well as aerial and high wire acts with acrobats. The Windy City Tumblers from Chicago will also perform.

Tickets are $14 for adults and $10 for children and can be purchased at Hucks or MotoMart convenience stores and Schnucks. Tickets may also be purchased at the circus ticket window.
