The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Waterloo High School golfer Calli Smith. The senior finished her prep career with an eighth place showing at the IHSA Class 1A state girls golf tournament this past weekend at Red Tail Run Golf Course in Decatur. Smith, who tied for 17th with a two-day score of 155 at state last year, shot a 150 this year – including an even par 72 on Saturday.
