The Republic-Times Team of the Week is the Belleville Rockies of the Mon-Clair League. The Rockies, managed by Gibault assistant baseball coach Jim Thompson and featuring players on its roster who played for Gibault, Columbia and Waterloo high schools, defeated the Southeast Missouri Tropics, Millstadt Green Machine and Valmeyer Lakers to claim the championship plaque for the 50th annual Valmeyer Midsummer Classic at Borsch Park over the weekend.
