The CHS football team is the Republic-Times Team of the Week.

The Columbia High School football team is this week’s Republic-Times Team of the Week.

Jumping to a 5-0 start on the season, the Eagles clinched the Cahokia Conference championship with last Friday’s win over Carlyle. The Eagles are ranked No. 1 among small schools by the Belleville News Democrat as they head to Jerseyville this Friday to take on the 3-2 Panthers.

Congrats Eagles, keep up the good work!

Andrea is a graduate of Gibault High School and the University of Missouri School of Journalism, the University of Missouri Harry S Truman School of Public Affairs and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville College of Education. She lives in Columbia with her husband and their twin toddler sons.
