Welcome Center wins stl250 cake

The Monroe County Welcome Center (Shoemaker Schoolhouse) in Columbia was voted among the top 50 finishers in a “Cakeway to the West” project held as part of the 250th anniversary of the founding of St. Louis.

The Welcome Center will join the Monroe County Courthouse, which was selected by stl250 leaders, as locations to display four-foot–tall cake sculptures decorated by local artists.
