Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic School eighth grade basketball player Trevor Davis is this week’s Republic-Times Athlete of the Week.

Davis reached 1,000 career points against Dupo last Thursday, for his two years on the SPCCS A team. Of the few players that achieve this mark, most do so in high school after four years of play.

The Falcons defeated the Tigers, 53-28, while Davis led the team in scoring with 14 points.

He also helped lead his team to win the SPPCS Holiday Tournament a few weekend’s back. There, he was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. The Falcons defeated St. Clare of O’Fallon, 60-29, in the championship game. Davis led the Falcons with 18 points over the Knights.
