Schroeder, Glaenzer | Athletes of the Week
Columbia High School bowlers Dallas Schroeder and Reid Glaenzer are this week’s Republic-Times Athletes of the Week.
In Tuesday’s match against Lebanon, Schroeder bowled a perfect 300 game. This is the first perfect game of his career. The junior serves as a swing player for the Eagles’ team, bowling both JV and Varsity. The lefty, two-handed style bowler currently has the second highest team average of 191.93.
The special game also came on a special day, as Schroeder’s birthday was Tuesday as well.
The next day in Wednesday’s match against Gibault, another Columbia bowler Reid Glaenzer bowled a perfect game.
The rare feat was the first in the school’s history since bowling became an IHSA sanctioned sport in the 2003-04 season. Prior to that, as a club sport, Columbia’s Tony Carver was the only Eagle to ever bowl a perfect game. Now the team has two in two days!
Congratulations Dallas and Reid!
