Columbia Police

Jan. 22
A two-vehicle crash occurred on Admiral Parkway northbound about 500 feet south of Veterans Parkway around 9:30 a.m. A Dodge Caliber driven by Vicki Jerashen, 51, of Waterloo, rear-ended a box truck driven by Gary Reith, 39, of Florissant, Mo. Jerashen was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis for treatment of minor injuries. She was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Dupo Police

Jan. 29
An incident involving the theft of a car with its keys inside that later crashed into a garage on Sophia Street is under investigation. Six other unlocked vehicles were also vandalized in town that night.

Illinois State Police

Jan. 28
Hecker and St. Clair County emergency responders assisted ISP at the scene of a crash on Route 156 east of Route 159 near Nu Deal Oil around 6:30 p.m. A 2008 Toyota Prius driven by Tina M. Cole, 55, of Lenzburg, struck a 1994 Chevy pickup driven by Jacky R. Rogers, 33, of Caseyville, which was pulling a trailer and backing into a driveway. A passenger in the truck, Rebecca A. Harding, 27, of Caseyville, was transported to Memorial Hospital in Belleville.

Feb. 1
A 1997 Honda Civic driven by James R. Light IV, 24, of New Athens, lost control at a curve in the roadway on Old Route 13 at Nuernberger Road southeast of New Athens in St. Clair County around 6:15 p.m. The car left the road and rolled multiple times. Light was airlifted to Saint Louis University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. He was wearing a seat belt when the crash occurred.

Monroe County Sheriff

Feb. 1
Robert Huffines, 32, of East Carondelet, was picked up in St. Clair County and transported to county jail on multiple Monroe County warrants.

A report of criminal damage to property on Crowe Farm Road is under investigation. A home in foreclosure was reported to have counter tops, cabinets and carpeting damaged inside within the past week.

St. Louis County Police

Feb. 3
Multiple emergency crews responded to a crash on Kinswood Drive near I-255 in South St. Louis County, Mo., around 1:30 a.m. Police said occupants of a 2004 Jeep Liberty driven by a 28-year-old Dupo woman left Crock’s Sports Bar on Telegraph Road and attempted to proceed to Dupo. The driver lost control and left the roadway, striking a fence. The Jeep flipped several times, ejecting two of three passengers. The driver sustained a ruptured spleen and internal bleeding. She was admitted for surgery and was last in critical condition, police said. A 31-year-old male passenger suffered fractures to his hip, arms and legs as well as severe head trauma and remains in critical condition. A 28-year-old female passenger suffered back fractures and head trauma and is also in critical condition. A third passenger, a 32-year-old male, sustained broken ribs and other injuries but is currently in stable condition. Charges are pending.

Waterloo Police

Feb. 3
Travis W. Turner, 38, of Waterloo, was arrested for battery, criminal trespass to property and possession of cannabis following an altercation at 609 Waterloo Drive.

Brett L. Lenhardt, 20, of Waterloo, was arrested for criminal trespass to property and resisting arrest at Denny’s Restaurant, 959 N. Illinois Route 3.

Raymond Frame, 59, of Waterloo, was issued a city ordinance violation for public intoxication at Route 3 and Park Street.
