Police Blotter 1/8/14

Columbia Police

Jan. 2 – Danielle C. Lawson, 27, of Florissant, Mo., was arrested on I-255 westbound for DUI, improper lane usage, no insurance and leaving the scene of an accident.

Jan. 3 – Jennifer Ann Declue, 39, of Arnold, Mo., was arrested on an out-of-state warrant at 354 Grant Drive.

Jan. 4 – Cassandra B. Via, 26, of St. Louis, was cited for disorderly conduct and public intoxication on Metter Avenue at Koch Street.

Illinois State Police

Dec. 30 – Dwight A. Yates, 51, of Belleville, was arrested for felony DUI (fifth offense) and felony driving while license revoked (eighth offense) following a traffic stop on I-255 southbound in Monroe County. Yates had prior DUI convictions in 1986, 1988, 1989 and 1990.

Monroe County Sheriff

Dec. 27 – Ben Conway, 36, of Waterloo, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant.

Dec. 28 – Keith Radford, 48, of Waterloo, was arrested for domestic battery.

Dec. 31 – An ATM machine was found in a creek near the intersection of DD Road and C Road just west of Columbia.

St. Clair County Sheriff

Jan. 6 – Columbia firefighters assisted police and Dupo EMS at the scene of a two-car crash in the snow on Wagner Road at Imbs Station Road around 1:45 p.m. The two vehicles struck each other nearly head-on, but no medical transport was required.

Waterloo Police

Dec. 28 – Michael B. Oliver, 24, of Waterloo, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon following an incident that began around 9 p.m. on Kasey Lane and ended with a police search in downtown Waterloo. There were no shots fired. Oliver allegedly raised a gun in a crowd during a party at 115 Kasey Lane and drove away in a truck, which was found unoccupied a short time later near Immanuel Lutheran Church. Waterloo police and Monroe County Sheriff’s Department deputies, including their K-9 dog, located Oliver near Wayne’s One Stop and took him into custody without further incident.

Dec. 30 – Cory N. Jones, 22, of Freeburg, for felony possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and possession of a hypodermic syringe in the 300 block of West Fourth Street.

Jan. 1 – Police are investigating a couple of car break-ins that occurred on the Waterloo Cinema parking lot. A GPS device was stolen from an unlocked vehicle, while the window was broken out of another vehicle. No items were reported missing from that vehicle.

Jan. 2 – Scott McCoy, 44, of Red Bud, was arrested for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving while license revoked and no seat belt.

Jan. 7 – A retail theft at Walmart is under investigation.
