Southwestern Illinois College will offer the Illinois Concealed Carry Certification Class this spring semester. Sessions will be held April 10-11 and April 17-18 at the Belleville campus.

Each class will run two days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Instruction will include weapons handling, holstering and re-holstering, safely loading and unloading the firearm, and live-fire qualifications.

Instructors are current or retired police officers and have been approved by the Illinois State Police. Live-fire qualifications will take place off campus at a designated firing range.

The cost of the class is $185 and each session will be limited to 25 students. Pre-registration and prepayment is required for both classes.
