Columbia (8-6), who lost to Waterloo in the first game of the tournament, 33-28, but then defeated Valmeyer and Civic Memorial, took on Freeburg (7-8) in the tournamentā€™s fifth place game prior to the Waterloo/Murphysboro contest.

The Eagles, who were down by one at half and then were out scored 20-15 in the third quarter and 11-8 in the fourth, fell to Freeburg, 56-47.

They shot three percent better from the field than the Midgets, but their 45 percent free throw shooting compared to Freeburgā€™s 74 percent was too much for Columbia to overcome.

Columbiaā€™s Michael Hunsaker had 13 points on the day and one assist, while Cole Mallinckrodt had 12 points, one steal and two assists against Freeburg.
