Brush fire reported at Route 3 and Hanover Road

The Waterloo Fire Department is responding to a report of a possible brush fire in the area of Route 3 and Hanover Road. The call for service went out at 1:55 p.m. Tuesday.

UPDATE: The fire was determined to be a controlled burn and all fire trucks are headed back to the station.

UPDATE: The property owner called the fire department back out to assist with the fire around 3 p.m., as it appears to have gotten out of control. Waterloo firefighters are on scene at this time.

LATEST UPDATE (w/ photo): The fire is located off Klohr Toen Lane near Hanover Road and Route 3. The WFD is still working to get the fire under control.
