The Republic-Times Team of the Week is the Waterloo Junior High School girls basketball team. The Bulldogs defeated Belleville Central, 31-8, to win a Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association Class L regional title and advance to the SIJHSAA state tournament at Rend Lake College that took place Saturday. WJHS came out on the losing end of a 40-26 contest against Carterville Junior High School at the state tourney to finish the season at 14-13.
