Theft from Columbia pharmacy

Police were on the lookout for a suspect vehicle following a Friday morning theft from CVS Pharmacy, 100 Admiral Trost Drive, Columbia.

The alleged theft occurred about 9:40 a.m., but was not reported to police until nearly two hours later.

Initial reports indicate a female believed to be in her 20s left the store carrying various toiletry items without paying. She is believed to have entered an older model white SUV with no rear plate, damage on the front end and ribbon magnets on the front passenger side.

The white SUV was driven by a man and was last seen turning onto Route 3 southbound in Columbia.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Columbia Police Department at 618-281-5151.

Police are looking at video surveillance as part of the investigation.
