The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Columbia High School soccer standout Riley Mathews. The senior midfielder leads the Eagles in scoring so far this spring with 19 goals and nine assists, and is a key reason the team is 9-2-2 entering play this week. An all-state player last year, Mathews has already committed to playing soccer at Indiana State University once her CHS playing days are over.
