Columbia Police

May 30: Columbia police were notified around 9 a.m. Friday of a suspicious
white male, identified as 29-year-old Joshua Woody, walking
on I-255 toward Columbia. He was described as shirtless, possibly
shoeless, wearing shorts and carrying a brown bag. The person
who notified police reported that Woody said “God owed him a
woman,” and that “she is in Columbia.” Local agencies were
alerted via the Illinois State Police Emergency Radio Network due
to his prior hostility toward police. Around 4 p.m., police said
Woody had been located in a wooded area off I-255 near the soccer
fields. He was transported by ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical
Center in St. Louis for evaluation.

Monroe County Sheriff

May 26: Jacob L. Cox, 19, of Red Bud, was cited for unlawful possession
of alcohol in the area of 4100 Bushy Prairie Road.

May 27: Possible charges are pending after 49 items reported stolen in
recent area burglaries were recovered on a property in the area of
6100 State Route 159 in nearby St. Clair County.

May 28: Cody Rhodes of Pevely, Mo., was arrested on a Monroe County
warrant.

The theft of a Stihl chainsaw from a property in the area of 8300
LL Road is under investigation.

May 29: A .22 caliber high standard pistol taken during a Nov. 28 burglary
near Chalfin Bridge was turned in to deputies by a person not
involved in the crime. Charges are pending in the case.

May 30: A report of identity theft involving a resident of G Road who
filed taxes online is under investigation.

May 31: Crystal Bland of Waterloo was arrested on a Monroe County
warrant.

Waterloo Police

May 27: Samantha R. Livigni, 18, of Sparta, was arrested for domestic
battery following an incident in the 300 block of Mockingbird
Lane.

May 31: Brittany Swimmer, 24, of Fenton, Mo., was arrested for domestic
battery following an incident on Roosevelt Drive.
