Columbia Police

June 11: Matthew T. Walker, 31, of Pembroke, Ky., was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant at the police station.

June 13: Robert E. Rachels, 49, of Columbia, was arrested on an in-state warrant at 119 E. Weilbacher Street. Terrence Wilson, 59, of Waterloo, was transported by ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis for treatment of a leg injury sustained when a labrador retriever ran in front of his 2006 Honda motorcycle on Admiral Parkway northbound just north of Eagle Drive shortly before 10 p.m., making contact with his left leg. The dog did not survive.

June 14: Aaron J. Stengel, 23, of Maryland Heights, Mo., was arrested for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving on the shoulder and no insurance on Admiral Parkway northbound at Wedgewood Drive.

June 16: Police are investigating the report of a stolen black Dodge Durango from the area of Columbia Lakes. Police were notified shortly before 3 p.m. There were no arrests in the case as of Tuesday, and the vehicle had not yet been located.

Monroe County Sheriff

June 7: Gregory A. Phillips, 43, of Waterloo, reported no injuries after he accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brakes in his 2003 Chevrolet Suburban while attempting to avoid a dog in the roadway westbound on Goeddeltown Road east of H Road at about 11 p.m., losing control and swerving into a utility pole.

June 11: Two reports of possible identity theft are under investigation. The first involves a fraudulent online tax filing; the other involves an unauthorized purchase in the amount of $249 using a resident’s bank account.

Valmeyer Police

June 14: Joshua Cowsert, 19, of Waterloo, was arrested for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Waterloo Police

June 12: Fourth Street was shut down between Market and Rogers streets in Waterloo around 9:30 a.m., after a large truck knocked down cable TV lines in that area. City crews responded to determine the downed lines were not electrical. No injuries were reported.

June 14: Shannon McFarland, 26, of Waterloo, was arrested for domestic battery following an incident on Station Crossing.

June 15: Jennifer M. Lance, 28, of Desoto, Mo., was arrested for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

June 17: Robert Bergman, 33, of Waterloo, was arrested for domestic battery and resisting arrest following an incident on Grand Avenue.
