Monday crash in Waterloo

Waterloo police and Monroe County EMS responded about 5 p.m. Monday to a two-vehicle crash with injury on Route 3 at North Market Street.

Police said a Chevrolet Cavalier driven by a 17-year-old Waterloo woman was traveling north on Route 3 and collided with a Pontiac Grand Am driven by a 16-year-old Prairie du Rocher woman, who was traveling south on Route 3 and attempting to turn left at the intersection.

The 17-year-old driver was cited for disobeying a traffic control device. The 16-year-old driver was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis County for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
