The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Missouri State University softball player Kelly Metter of Columbia. The junior second baseman hit .273 with a home run, three doubles and 10 RBIs in 19 games played this spring for the Bears, who finished their shortened NCAA Division I season with an overall record of 7-12.
