The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Waterloo High School wrestler Jordan Sommers. The junior, who placed fifth in the state at 195 pounds and is ranked as the top wrestler in the state for that weight class, is 14-1 this season and went 5-0 to win a Mississippi Valley Conference title over the weekend. Recently, Sommers defeated state-ranked wrestlers in Riley Elam and David Polaski.
