Jeremiah Bergheger of the Valmeyer Lakers in the Mon-Clair League is this week’s Republic-Times Athlete of the Week.

Bergheger leads the Lakers with a .451 average and three home runs so far this summer, including a 3-for-4, two-homer performance in game two of a doubleheader against Belleville on Saturday.
