The Columbia and Waterloo fire departments responded shortly before 10:15 a.m. Thursday to a fire inside a residence on Country Lane off D Road north of New Hanover.

The incident was initially called in as a light fixture on fire inside the residence, but was then updated to a small fire inside a bathroom. Firefighters then discovered a fire inside the attic of the structure.

No injuries were reported in the fire.
