The Illinois Department of Natural Resources and Friends of Illinois Nature Preserves will be holding a volunteer stewardship workday at Fults Hill Prairie Nature Preserve on Nov. 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friends of Illinois Nature Preserves invite everyone to enjoy a day of conservation and learning about the unique Hill Prairie complex located on the Illinois Department of Natural Resources owned property in Fults. Wear sturdy shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. The first hour will be study and discussion. For the next couple hours, it will be hard work with stops as needed to share ideas and appreciate rare nature with each other.
