The Monroe County Coalition for Drug-Free Communities, Columbia Police Department, Waterloo Police Department, Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and Monroe County Coroner’s Office are hosting a prescription drug take-back day this Saturday, Oct. 27.

People can drop off their unwanted, unused, or out-of-date prescriptions during Halloween Hi-Jinx in the Columbia City Hall parking lot or at Waterloo Schnucks from 10 a.m. to noon, no questions asked.

Unwanted drugs can always be disposed of anonymously in secure drop boxes in the lobbies of the Waterloo (301 S. Main Street) and Columbia (1020 N. Main Street) police departments 24-hours a day, and at Wightman Pharmacy (127 S. Main Street, Waterloo) during business hours.
