The 38th annual Porta Westfalica Festival, celebrating the partnership between Waterloo and its German sister city, takes place Tuesday, June 19, from 4-10:30 p.m. on the courthouse grounds. 

The New Hanover Deutchmeisters play music from 4-6 p.m., followed by a parade down Main Street that steps off at 6 p.m.

The Bud Light Brigade performs from 7-7:30 p.m., followed by the Waterloo Municipal Band from 7:30-8:30 p.m., a German dance troupe from 8:30-9 p.m. and the world famous Waterloo German Band from 9-10:30 p.m. 

There will be inflatables and amusement park rides for children, along with food, wine and plenty of cold beer.
