The annual Eagle Fest takes place this Saturday, Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Jerry F. Costello Lock & Dam in Modoc.
There will be eagle-watching with spotting scopes, feathered friends from the World Bird Sanctuary and an Edible Animals presentation given by Animology, formerly the Natural History Education Co. of the MidSouth.
Tours of the lock and dam will be available. This event is free to all — families and leash-trained dogs welcome.
