Columbia 4th of July Celebration

July 4 @ 10:30 am - 10:30 pm

The July 4 Celebration in Columbia begins at 11 a.m. on Independence Day, culminating with fireworks in the evening at American Legion Memorial Park.

Balloon artist Mike Geerlof will be on hand, as will Uncle Sam. There will be free games and activities for children.

The Turner’s fish stand, Legion’s beer stand and other concessions open at 11 a.m. The Legion hosts bingo in their hall beginning at noon.

A washers tournament begins at 1:30 p.m. Tournament participants are asked to bring their own game boxes.

A Kloepper card tournament begins at 4:30 p.m.

The Sofa Kings perform music from 6-9 p.m.

Sons of the American Legion Squadron 581 is hosting its “Kids-Que” contest for young grillers ages 8-11 and 12-16. There is a $20 entry fee. Check-in is at noon. Call 636-893-5452 or 618-920-0393 to pre-register.
