Four local authors will discuss their works and read excerpts during an “Afternoon with the Authors” event in Maeystown this Sunday, Oct. 28, from 1-4 p.m.

Jeanette Coopermann will read from her latest digital book. Tyler Ruff will illustrate one of his graphic novels, which are in comic book form. Deborah Heal’s novels of history, mystery and contemporary Christian romance are all set in southern Illinois. Dennis Knobloch will talk about his local historical books and perhaps reveal what his plans are in retirement books.

The shops and the old Mill Museum will be hosting the authors while Vici’s Front Porch will be serving soup, muffins, coffee, tea and scones in the afternoon.

A full lunch menu will be available at Mason’s Tavern.
