Dupo High School bowler Courtney Argus is this week’s Republic-Times Athlete of the Week. Argus, a junior, rolled a six-game score of 1,331, winning the sectional title as an individual on Saturday in Carterville and qualifying for this weekend’s state tournament in Rockford.

Her sectional game scores were 204, 267, 243, 247, 200 and 170.

“This is Courtney’s first year going to state, so we are pretty exited about it,” Dupo head bowling coach Leonard Aldridge said. “She has been working hard all year and it has paid off. We are very proud of her and her accomplishments.”
