Brush fire near Maeystown

The Maeystown Fire Department responded about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday to a brush fire near the railroad tracks in the area of Bluff and Maeystown roads.

Union Pacific halted all train traffic in the area as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze. The scene was under control prior to 3:30 p.m.
