The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Valmeyer High School senior volleyball standout Brooke Miller. The Pirates have sailed off to a 6-1 start this fall largely thanks to Miller, who leads the entire St. Louis area in blocks per game at 2.13 (32 total blocks in 15 games) and is second in the area in kills per game at 4.47 (67 kills in 15 games).
