Auto crash on North Main in Columbia

Columbia police, fire and EMS personnel responded at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday to an auto crash on North Main Street near Rueck Road. Initial reports are a red car driven by a male struck the rear of a parked car. The driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel, leading to the crash. The driver did not require medical transport, but a female passenger was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment of a possible broken leg.

Earlier, Columbia fire and EMS personnel were dispatched around midnight to the area of Gilmore Lake Road at Autumn Rise Lane for a vehicle rollover. It was determined that the driver did not require medical transport from the scene.
