Armed robbery in East Carondelet

A man and woman have been charged in connection with an alleged armed robbery that occurred early Saturday morning in East Carondelet.

The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department was called to the 1700 block of State Street around 5 a.m. on Nov. 16 for a home invasion in progress, police said. During the incident, a female suspect displayed a knife, made a verbal statement and cut the victim. A male suspect fired a handgun in the direction of the victim. The suspects took items from the residence and the victim and left the scene on foot.

Charged with armed robbery involving a firearm are Scottie R. Lambert, 24, and Tabitha L. Williamson, 21, both of East Carondelet.

Lambert’s bond was set at $750,000. Williamson’s bond was set at $500,000.  Both remain in the St. Clair County Jail.
