Police blotter | 1/14/15

Columbia Police

Jan. 10 – Eric J. Frierdich, 29, of Columbia, was arrested for
battery and assault at Columbia City Saloon, 1101 Valmeyer
Road.

Monroe County Sheriff

Jan. 8 – Billy J. Clark, 33, of Granite City, was arrested for
felony driving while license revoked (fifth offense) and possession
of a stolen vehicle (2005 Honda ATV). He remains in custody at
the Monroe County Jail.

Jan. 12 – Deputies assisted with multiple reports of vehicles off
county roadways due to icy conditions early Monday morning.
One female driver suffered minor injuries after her vehicle slid off
Route 156 and struck a utility box and tree between Waterloo and
Valmeyer.

St. Clair County Sheriff

Jan. 11 – Millstadt fire and EMS personnel responded to Imbs
Station Road near Wagner Road at about 10:35 p.m. for a report of
a vehicle crash due to icy conditions with entrapment and possible
injuries. No other information was available.

Waterloo Police

Jan. 5 – Tara Knechtel, 30, of Waterloo, was arrested on a failure
to appear warrant stemming from a city ordinance violation.

Jan. 9 – Julie Weihl, 55, of Red Bud, was arrested on a failure
to pay warrant stemming from a prior conviction for no insurance.

Jan. 9 – Robert Bergman, 33, of Waterloo, was arrested for retail
theft at Walmart. He is alleged to have taken a Dremel power tool
from the store.

Jan. 12 – Police were called to investigate a possible report of
shoplifting at Walmart.
