The Waterloo High School girls tennis team is this week’s Republic-Times Team of the Week.

The team’s 9-2 record is putting them in outstanding position heading into the final two weeks of the season. Brett Ivers’ Bulldogs lead the Mississippi Valley Conference on offense with a 6.0 scoring average and 66 points scored in 2013.

Micki Brinkmann (4-0), Ayla Henson (3-0), Jessica Molinari (5-1) and Lauren Wright (4-1) are some of the team’s singles leaders, while Brittany Prange (6-2), Dava Lake (5-1) and Elise Eggemeyer (3-1) also help lead in doubles.

WHS hosts Metro East Lutheran Thursday, followed by another six matches remaining in the regular season.

Good job girls, keep up the good work!
