SPPCS boys basketball | Team of the Week

The Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic School eighth grade boys basketball team is this week’s Republic-Times Team of the Week.

The Falcons defeated St. Clare of O’Fallon, 60-29, in last Saturday’s SPPCS Holiday Tournament championship game.

SPPCS came out strong against the Knights ahead 19-9 after the first quarter and up 36-12 at halftime. Trevor Davis led the Falcons with 18 points, Collin Kessler had 14, and Blake Metzger put up 12 points.

The team is currently 21-0. Going undefeated into the Cahokia Conference Tournament that starts Jan. 5.
