Roger Lenhardt | Obituary

Roger Robert Lenhardt, 87, of Waterloo, died Dec. 18, 2013, in Waterloo.

He was born Dec. 7, 1926, in St. Louis, son of the late Harry and Luella (nee Sensel) Lenhardt.

He was married to Florence (nee Kohlmeier) Lenhardt for 64 years; she survives him.

Mr. Lenhardt was a member of St. Paul UCC in Waterloo, worked at Waterloo Milk Co. for 23 years and then Harrisonville Telephone Co. for 23 years.

Survivors include his wife; children Donna Kay (Larry) Howell, Terry (Gina) Lenhardt, Allan (Sandy) Lenhardt, Bonnie (Dennis) Everding and Tim (Kris) Lenhardt; sisters Grace Briscoe and Geneva (Darwin) Schaack; and 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and five sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law William and Ella (nee Junge) Kohlmeier, 12 brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law.

Visitation was Dec. 20 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo.

A funeral Mass took place Dec. 21 at St. Paul UCC in Waterloo.

Interment followed at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery, Waterloo.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul UCC or cancer-afflicted family members.
