Patricia G. Henson

Patricia G.  Henson (nee Schenk), 77, of Maeystown, died Feb. 9, 2016, in St. Louis.

She was born Nov. 25, 1938, in Flora, daughter of the late Frank and Eileen Schenk (nee Snyder).

Pat was a beloved wife of 60 years. She dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved telling stories, singing songs, and nursery rhymes. Pat enjoyed reading, cooking and baking for her family and friends, and playing tennis. She enjoyed participating in the USTA and the Illinois Senior Olympics, loved animals, and was a charitable person.

She is survived by her husband Larry Henson; children Vicki (Steve) Frank, DeAnn Pate, Terri Henson (Tina Cherpes), and Jill  Crouch; grandchildren Garrett (Lindsey) Frank, Katie (Andrew) Norris, Jacob Frank, Andrea Fry (fiancé John Osborn), Londyn Lockhart, Ayla, Paige, and Jayda Henson and Ashlyn Crouch; great-grandchildren Ava, Will and Lucas Frank, and Tre’ and Sophie Fry; and nephews Michael and Mitchell Ray.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son Jay W. Henson; sister Peggy Ray and nephew Matthew Ray.

Visitation is Feb. 12, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo, and Feb. 13, from 10 to 11 a.m., at St. John United Church of Christ, Maeystown.

Funeral services were Feb. 13, at 11 a.m., at the church, Pastor Patrick Poole officiating.

Interment followed at St. John Cemetery, Maeystown.
