Maurice L. Mudd | Obituary

Maurice L. Mudd, 93, of Waterloo, died Feb. 4, 2015 in Waterloo.

He was born April 11, 1921 in East St. Louis, son of the late Robert and Mary Mudd, nee Collier.

Maurice was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Church, US Army Veteran, Waterloo VFW, and Carpenters Union Local #662.

He is survived by his children, Patrick (Sharon) Mudd, Norbert (Janet) Mudd, Paul (Pauline) Mudd and Gerry (Susan) Mudd; grandchildren Nichole (Jeff) Tyson, Melissa Mudd, Brian Mudd (Lisa Breeding), Michael (Becky) Mudd, Julie Mudd, Kaelan, Kaelan Mudd and Cody Mudd; great-grandchildren Blake Mudd, Madison Tyson, Nic Mudd, Izabella Ford, Madeline Tyson and Jacob Mudd; along with sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mildred G. Mudd, nee Linnertz, sister Virginia Kohnz, and brothers Omar and Roy Mudd.

Visitation will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Feb. 6 and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Feb. 7 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo.

A funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Feb. 7 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo.

Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Hospice of Southern Illinois.
