Lyn Hunter Moore

Lyn Hunter Moore (nee Bird), 70, of Waterloo, died Nov. 3, 2016, in St. Louis.

She was born Nov. 12, 1945, in Sparta, daughter of the late Loyd Charles and Jessie A. Bird (nee VanOver).

Lyn attended Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Renault.

She is survived by her children Thad (Julianne) Hunter, Courtney (Craig) Hunter-Brauer, Elliot Moore, Cheryl Moore and Lisa Lawrence; grandchildren Liam Brauer, Thaddeus Brauer, Kampe Hunter, Joanscott Hunter, Simon Moore, Cooper Moore, Conner Lawrence, Ella Lawrence and Isabel Lawrence; sister Jane (Gary) McDermott; nephews Kelly (Kim) McDermott and Ryan (Tiffany) McDermott; and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Irwin “Doc” Moore and her parents.

A memorial visitation is Nov. 19, from 1-2 p.m., at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m., at the funeral home, Father Roger Karban officiating.

As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions to Human Support Services or Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Renault.
