Columbia High School goalie Eddie Starr is this week’s Republic-Times Athlete of the Week.
The CHS senior goalkeeper has the highest win percentage in the St. Louis Metro Area, notching 10 of Columbia’s 11 wins. His .935 save percentage (43 saves) has helped lead the Eagles to an undefeated, 11-0, record on the season. He has charted four solo and two shared shutouts for CHS and has only allowed three goals all season.
Starr and the Eagles other accomplishments so far this season include: R-T Team of the Week and defeating Gibault after falling to them twice last season.
Columbia is competing in the CYC Tournament this week, where they have shutout St. Pius X and DuBourg. Thursday they are scheduled to face Fox in a tournament match-up.
