Back-to-back no-hitters for Bradley; ‘Dogs set wins record

Senior left-handed pitcher Kasey Bradley helped Waterloo set a new single-season school record for softball victories in dramatic fashion last Wednesday, then followed it up with an exclamation point on Thursday.

Bradley threw no-hitters in back-to-back conference games against Highland and Mascoutah to win the conference title. With the victories, the Bulldogs finished conference play a perfect 10-0 and upped their season victory total to 31, which is two more than the record-setting 1989 WHS squad that advanced to the state tournament.

The Bulldogs made it 32-0 with an 8-1 win at home Tuesday over Marion.
