Vehicle rollover on Hillcastle Road

Columbia fire and EMS responded along with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department to the area of 736 Hillcastle Road around 1 p.m. Sunday to a vehicle rollover in the snow with unknown injuries.

A MCSD deputy said there were no injuries reported as a result of the crash. The 2005 PT Cruiser driven by Alex J. Idoux, 21, of Columbia, was traveling northbound on a snow-covered Hillcastle Road just north of FF Road when the vehicle hit a slick spot on the roadway and lost control, rolling down an embankment.

Another crash was handled during the snow on Sunday, this one at 1:50 p.m. on KK Road less than a mile west of Bushy Prairie Road. A 2004 Ford F250 driven by Peyton T. Hamilton, 26, of Waterloo, hit a slick spot on the roadway, lost control and slid off the road, striking a well pump house. No injuries were reported.
