Diane Marie Stroh and Gregory Paul Backes

Diane Marie Stroh of Waterloo and Gregory Paul Backes of Auburn were married Sept. 7, 2013.

The bride is the daughter of Donald and Marcia Stroh of Waterloo.

She has a bachelor of science degree in accounting with a minor in economics and is employed as office manager at Family Practice Associates.

The groom is the son of Timothy and Terri Backes of Auburn.

He has an associate of applied science degree in turf management and is employed as a grounds manager at Totall Metal Recycling.

Katie Stroh, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Schaltenbrand, cousin of the bride; Emily Pickett, friend of the bride; Ashley Ahrens, friend of the bride; Kelly Amann, friend of the bride; Emily Backes, sister of the groom and Carly Gaffney, friend of the bride.

Darren Price, friend of the groom, was the best man.

Groomsmen were Adam Yakus, friend of the groom; Adam Rothert, friend of the groom; Bradley Thompson, friend of the groom and Joe Backes, cousin of the groom.

Ushers were Jared Schaltenbrand and Joseph May.

Aubrey Easton was the flower girl, and Cole Schaltenbrand was the ring bearer.

A reception took place at the Hecker Community Club.

The couple honeymooned in Clarksville, Mo.
