Ruth A. Buettner | Obituary

Ruth A.  Buettner (nee Rust), 70, of Waterloo, died Oct. 14, 2016, in Waterloo.

She was born Dec. 8, 1945, in Monroe County, daughter of the late Christopher Adolph and Ida C. (nee Fuhs) Rust.

Ruth was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church ofWartburg.

She is survived by her children Dale (Michelle) Rodenberg, Darryl (Christine) Rodenberg, David (Sandy) Rodenberg, and Catherine (John) Cooper; grandchildren Allen (Heather) Wild, Nicole Rodenberg, Brandi Rodenberg, Ellie Rodenberg, Samuel Rodenberg, Rachel Rodenberg, Nathan Rodenberg, Justin Rodenberg, Cassie Rodenberg, Andrew Cotter, Lydia Cotter, and Gavin Cotter; great-grandchildren Karmen Cover, Zaden Wild, and Zoe Wild; brothers Chris (Sandi) Rust, and August (Pam) Melching; sister Mary; sisters-in-law Thelma Rust, Barb Goldschmidt, Bernice Fuller, Diane Buettner, and Bernelle Buettner; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Lloyd A. Buettner.

Visitation and funeral services were Oct. 18, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Wartburg, Rev. Dan Ostlund  officiating.

Interment followed at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Wartburg.

As an expression of sympathy the family prefers memorial contributions to Oak Hill or Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Wartburg.
