Ruby Lee Pennock

Ruby Lee Pennock (nee Roberson), 86, of Waterloo, died Nov. 12, 2013, in Waterloo.

She was born Oct. 13, 1927, in Luxora, Ark., daughter of the late Charles James and Mary Roberson (nee Brown).

She was married to Kenneth Pennock; he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Pennock was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, bingo and traveling.

Survivors include her children Debra (Bill) Hasty, Shirley Clark, and Dennis Pennock; grandchildren Jason (Liette) Goeddel, Jeremy Goeddel, Joel (Becca) Goeddel, Crystal Goeddel, Amy Street, Tabitha (Zac) Royer, Brandy Hasty, Rachel (Bill) Maher, Angela Clark, and Michelle (Kadhim) Alidani; great-grandchildren Elyse, Caleb, Ryder, Logan, Carter, Brinnley, Haylee, Camdyn, Rennah and Abby; and sister Laura Popp; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Clarence Garrison; sisters Opal Spencer and Erma Pryor; and brother Frank Roberson.

Visitation and funeral services were Nov. 17-18, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo, Pastor Tony Troup officiating.

Interment followed at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
