Robert G. Hyatt

Robert “Rob” G. Hyatt, 58, of Waterloo, died June 22, 2015, at St. Louis University Hospital.

He was born March 27, 1957, in East St. Louis, son of Gene and JoAnn Hyatt (nee Weissert).

Rob was a retired mud, taper and painter and he belonged to the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. He was always fun to be around with his warm personality and sense of humor.

Rob worked hard and played golf harder. He was a loving father to his children and a dear friend to many. He always had a joke to tell and a grin on his face that will be missed by anyone who knew him.

Survivors include his parents; children Andrew, Zachary and Sadie Hyatt; fiance Sue Row; Sue’s children Aaron and Phil Rheinecker; siblings Steven (Davina) Hyatt, Christine (Robert) Meehan, Gene Jr. “Pete” (Lori) Hyatt, Cynthia Hyatt, Kathleen (Daniel) Kurowski, Douglas (Monica) Hyatt, Clara “Cissy” (Bill) Harrison, Keri Hyatt and Edwin Hyatt; along with other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, June 26, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, June 27, at 10 a.m., at St. James Catholic Church, Millstadt, with Fr. Marvin Volk officiating.

Cremation was held.
