R-T All-Local Girls Basketball Team

The local high school girls basketball scene featured several strong performances during the 2014-15 campaign, with more on the horizon as teams look forward to next season.

The Republic-Times All-Local Girls Basketball Team includes talented young ladies from Columbia, Waterloo, Gibault, Valmeyer and Dupo high schools…

FIRST TEAM

Kathryn Finnerty (Waterloo): Finnerty was a force for the Bulldogs, leading the team in scoring (13.1 points per game) and rebounding (9.2  rebounds per game) this season.

Kaylee Bastien (Columbia): Bastien was among the leading free throw shooters in the St. Louis area at 82 percent. She also averaged 12.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game for the Eagles.

Leia Campbell (Dupo): Campbell drew plenty of attention from opposing defenses this season, averaging 13.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.9 steals per game for the Tigers.

Taylor Augustine (Waterloo): Augustine seemed to come up big in the key games for the Bulldogs, especially late in the season. She averaged 10 points per game for the Bulldogs.

Morgan Redohl (Valmeyer): Redohl provided the spark for a Pirates team that reached the regional final, averaging nearly 10 points per game and more than three steals per contest.

SECOND TEAM
Kalli Farmer (Columbia): Farmer was a nice second scoring option for the Eagles behind Bastien, averaging 10 points per game while shooting 72 percent from the free throw line.

Emmi Stuart (Valmeyer): The talented freshman made her presence felt on the court in a big way, ranking among St. Louis area leaders with 2.41 blocks per game. She also averaged nine points and nearly seven rebounds per contest.

Morgan Wiegand (Gibault): Wiegand led the Hawks in scoring at nearly nine points per game. She also averaged five rebounds per game.

Mia Reed (Waterloo): Although her season ended prematurely due to injury, Reed averaged nine rebounds and nearly seven points per game for the ‘Dogs.

Megan Brown (Dupo): Brown averaged 10 points and nearly six rebounds per game for the Tigers.

HONORABLE MENTION
Cierra Colbert (Gibault), Grace Nappier (Valmeyer), Claire Foster (Columbia), Sydney Luedeman (Waterloo), Rachael Donald (Dupo)
