Marian R. Schlemmer

Marian R. Schlemmer (nee Breuer), 87, of Columbia, died March 1, 2013, in Alton.
She was born March 15, 1925, in Dupo, daughter of the late Henry and Viola Breuer (nee Nolte).
She was married to the late Elmer Schlemmer.
Mrs. Schlemmer was a homemaker. She also worked hard along with her husband in the real estate field and as a farmer. She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Dupo, and Columbia Sister Cities.
Survivors include her children Deanna (Don) Hall, Carole (John) Crum, and Patricia (Don) Baker; grandchildren James (Klare) Marzano, Jana (Brian) Bidwell, Andrew Crum, Aaron Crum, Kyle Baker and Katie Baker; great-grandchildren Lorenzo Marzano, Charles Bidwell and Henry Bidwell; sisters Esther (Adam) Mernick, and Florence (Ralph) Brown; and sisters-in-law Dorothy Range and Laverne Remelius; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was March 4, at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home, Dupo, and March 5, at Christ United Church of Christ, Dupo.
Funeral services were March 5, at the church, Rev. Jean Carmean officiating.
Interment followed at Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia.
Memorials may be made to Christ United Church of Christ, Dupo, or Human Support Services.
