Keith G. Hartrum | Obituary

Keith G. Hartrum, 65, of Waterloo, died Aug. 22, 2014 in Waterloo.

He was born Jan. 18. 1949 in St. Louis, son of the late Richard and Mary Hartrum, nee Raftery.

Mr. Hartrum was a former member of District Council #2, International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades, founder of Hartrum Painting and Wall Covering (est. 1985), avid cyclist, lover of the outdoors, gifted photographer and artist.

He is survived by wife Mary Jean Hartrum, nee Prather; children Deanna Wolff, Sarah Decareaux, Elizabeth Hartrum, Richard (Roxanne) Hartrum, David Hartrum; grandchildren Jacob Harrold, Megan Wolff, Hailey Harrold, Kate Decareaux, Nicholas Wolff, Riddick Whelan, Finn Decareaux, Michael Hartrum, Elise Dacareaux, Magdalene Hartrum and Eleanor Hartrum; brothers and sisters Greg (Leslie) Hartrum, Mary Colleen Hartrum (Tim Heck) Judy Schribner, Janet Hartrum, Darrin Thebeau; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Hartrum was preceded in death by his parents, grandsons Dominic and Grant Decareaux, son-in-law David P. Decareaux Jr., brother Richard Hartrum and sister Kathy Hartrum.

Visitation took place Aug. 25 and 26 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo.

A funeral service took place Aug. 26 at the funeral home.

Interment followed at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo.
